I know we have discussed and shared articles about candida and it being common in Lyme, whether it be from antibiotic use or the imbalances in our system in general. Well the symptoms of these diseases and others can cause some confusion in recognizing what is what.

We wanted to share a few articles so you can possibly look into this as a contributing factor. One even has a quiz. I used to treat this almost as a preventative and haven't been on much for quite some time. Keep in mind you don't have to have yeast infections or thrush to have a very high result. I have neither and the results showed I have very high candida in my gut. Candida Albicans

Info and yeast screening questionnaire here:

"Monolaurin, a coconut oil extract, has also recently been shown to have the ability to significantly affect three morphological forms of Borrelia burgdoferi and Borrelia garinii: spirochetes, latent round body forms, and borrelia biofilms, while simultaneously deceasing yeast overgrowth in the GI tract."

"Cistus tea is a strong antifungal: Many Lyme patients know that mycotoxins from mold spores can wreak havoc on Lyme treatment, and overgrowth of Candida Albicans, an intestinal fungus that tends to appear in the presence of antibiotics can cause thrush, yeast infections, urinary tract infections, and an array of intestinal issues. The good news is, daily ingesting of Cistus Tea goes a long way to reduce the presence all of these toxic fungal strains (see study)."
